                    Introduction to the Company

Adelaide Testing Machines is a manufacturer of standard and custom designed mechanical load testing machines used in the testing of machined specimens, products, and components.  Our product line includes machines such as the TTD series which are of a standalone type design with microprocessor readout of load  for testing requiring maximum type tensile or compression  load measurement only.  For applications requiring Real-Time display of a load vs. deflection curve, our TTS and D series machines feature easy to use computer control using  a standard IBM type PC for extra testing capabilities for use in  Manufacturing and Research and Development testing environments.

                          Product Design

The ATM  product line feature machines of  very rugged designs for long life and endurance required in the industrial environment.  Their operations are designed for ease of use and have  capabilities which are often found only in much higher priced machines from other manufacturers.  Operator settable stroke and load limits are standard on most systems.  The software packages used with the computer controlled machines are very Operator  friendly and easy to use.  A DEMO program of the standard TC-100 Tension/Compression software package is available on request.
The recent introduction of our lower cost TCA series of tension/compression machines expands the range of systems offered for applications not requiring the long stroke capability of our other testing machines.

                    Machine Load Ranges

ATM manufactures machines for testing applications requiring  tensile, compression, torsion, drop weight, and multiaxial loading. Load capacity of machines manufactured
range  from less than 1 lb (5 N) capacity to over 100000 lb (500 kN).  Torsion capacities of machines range from less than 15 in*lb (1700 N*mm) to over 10,000 lb*in (1150 N*m). ATM also specializes in modifying our standard machines for functions which are specifically requested and can manufacture custom designed machines for unique test applications.
D Series
A brief summary of our Product Line includes the following testing machines.  Additional summary information and detailed Specification Sheets are available by clicking on the photo or machine name.
      TCA Series Tension/Compression
The TCA Series is a low cost series of short stroke length tensile testers for test applications requiring tension or compression capabilities not requiring the long stroke lengths of our other testing machines.  Capacities of machines available up to 10 kN / 2200 lb.  Load readout uses our custom designed microprocessor display to show the load in lb, kg, or N.
 TTD Series Tension/Compression
The TTD series is a long stroke length double ball screw type machine for testing in tension and compression to loads up to 65 kN / 14000 lb.  Load readout uses our custom designed microprocessor display to show the load in lb, kg, or N.
    TTS Series Tension/Compression
The TTS series is a long stroke length double ball screw machine with computer control for display of the test result in Real Time.  The machines are available in load capacities up to 65 kN / 14000 lb.  A DEMO diskette of the easy to use TC-100 software is available on request.
TTST Series Tension/Compression/Torsion
The TTST series is a double ball screw design computer controlled machine for performing tension, compression, and torsion testing up to 65 kN / 14000 lb axial load and 132 N*m / 1200 lb*in torsion load. Special modifications of this series may be possible to accommodate testing requirements to other capacities.  Please contact ATM for details.
     D Series Tension/Compression
The D series is a long stroke double ball screw floor mounted computer controlled tension/compression testing machine for loading applications  to 500 kN / 115000 lb. It is also available as a DT series with expanded capabilities of torsion loading also.
CR Series Tension/Compression/Creep
The CR series is a computer controlled testing machine designed for applications that require only a short stroke length for load application such as tensile testing of metals.  These machines are available in five different load capacities up to 900 kN / 200000 lb and are less expensive than the equivalent capacity
in the D series machines.

Model TO-15  Tension/Compression/Torsion
The Model TO-15 is a low capacity computer controlled tension/compression/torsion testing machine for use in loading applications up to 1 kN / 200 lb axial load and 1700 N*mm / 15 lb*in torsion loading.  The TT-100 Torsion/Constant Axial Load testing software allows the Operator to preset and maintain an axial load on the test specimen as rotary motion is applied.
Model ACT Servo Motor Actuators
The ACT series of computer controlled actuators are very similar to hydraulic actuators except the piston rod is extended by an internally mounted ball screw driven by a DC servo motor. Various load capacities and stroke lengths over the range from 5 kN (1,100 lb) up to 50 kN (11,000 lb) are available. A DEMO diskette of the easy to use TC-100 software used for actuator control is available on request.
