| Wedge Type Tensile Grips |

| The WG series of tensile grips are available in five different sizes for testing applications over the range from 5,000 lb (25 kN) up to 100,000 lb (440 kN). Figure 1 shows the overall design of the grips. These grips feature a sturdy aluminum monoblock construction for strong and light weight design. The dependable no slip, no creep design places controlled pressure across the entire grip width for a firm and even grasp.The ambidextrous handles on the manual version of the grips allow for either right or left handed operation and feature an automatic locking device for hands free monitoring. |

| Grips can be ordered with either flat gripping inserts or V notched inserts for testing round specimens. Different serration patterns are available for gripping a wide range of material hardnesses. In addition to the manually operated style, the grips may also be ordered in a pneumatic version for greater testing speed and ease. The pneumatic version requires an operator supplied filtered dry air supply with a minimum 100 psi pressure. |
